Let's Brunch: Twelve Whiskey BBQ Review
Brunch: It's not Breakfast, It's not Lunch, It's just Better.
Welcome back to our next segment of "Let's Brunch!" Oh boy, buckle up ladies and gents because do we have a great brunch review for you today. We know you love brunch, but if you also love some good ole BBQ, Twelve Whiskey Barbeque is the brunch place for you! I have been to Twelve before for dinner and some trivia (Tuesday nights with $5 nachos and margs, it slaps, but you won't beat my team), but this was my first Brunch experience here and it didn't disappoint. Let's Brunch and see what my craze is about.
Alcohol/Bottomless Mimosas?: If you want a brunch to get a little tipsy, this is the perfect place. They have mimosas and bloody marys if you want to be a traditional bruncher, but if you are trying to get a little sloppy, get yourself one of their margaritas because those bad boys will have you on the floor. Also, everybody ALWAYS deserves a marg at any time of the day. Oh, I almost forgot, check out this ridiculous bloody mary meal option they have for $15 on the menu; if you love bloody marys, you gotta try this.

Pittsburgh Locations: Southside
Environment/Vibe: This place has a great vibe as you get a good southern feel and also this place has its very own magician during brunch. Oh yea, I bet you didn't expect that. Brunch AND a show? Yea, sign me up for that one!

What I ate: Chicken and waffles. Not only am I on the search for the best brunch in the burgh, but I am also on the hunt for the best chicken and waffles in the burgh, and this one is up there with the best of them. Just look at that plate. Look at it some more. Remember folks, this is a southern BBQ themed restaurant so that is not just any old fried chicken, but it is BUTTERMILK fried chicken to give it a more brunch vibe, and it was AMAZING. The bourbon barrel aged maple syrup was a great mix for this dish and I could not recommend it any more!

Summary of the foods rating from my friends: it slaps hard.
Price: $$. Between $9-$12 a meal.
Pro Tip: This is a great place to brunch on a college football Saturday or NFL Sunday as there are a ton of TVs and great drink options. Join us to watch Pitt play Penn State as we will be brunching hard here for the game!

Overall Rating: 9.8/10
This was tough, real tough. To be honest, I cannot even tell you why Twelve is not a 10, but my only explanation is that it is not Café Mona. Do yourself a favor and move Twelve Whiskey BBQ to the top of your brunch list because as you can see by the photos, it will not disappoint!
