We're back! We hope you enjoyed our segment on "Teams we WANT Pitt to Play" (If you have not read it, you are missing out). We are now going to dive in to the teams we would be 100% ok with if Pitt never played them again. And here..we..go..!

Teams Who Run the Spread

Yea yea, so we put Oregon and Texas in our "Top 5 Teams We Want Pitt to Play" and they both run the spread, but it seems like Narduzzi and Staff just haven't figured out how to defend the spread well. Notable teams include PSU and OSU. Not only has the staff not yet adjusted, but spread-reliant teams don't fit in how they coach to win the ACC. The majority of the ACC doesn't run the spread as a primary offense so naturally you don't recruit for it. Pitt's D seems to finally have the personnel to defend it, so we'll see. 

Clemson Tigers

If everything goes according to our plan this season, we will be seeing this match up again in Charlotte... but we definitely do not want it. We all witnessed how this game went down last year. As of right now, Clemson is on another level in college football along with Alabama. We can only hope they can get upset once or twice during the regular season so we have a different opponent in the ACC championship (as long as Pitt can take care of business). 

BYU Cougars

BYU is a good and respected program. Nothing taken away from them. But, us here at TGYK like to drink. We like to have a good time. Utah hates fun. End of conversation.

Ohio State Buckeyes

Buckeyes may be one of our favorite desserts, but we have no intrigue to play the Buckeyes in football. The main reason we do not want to play them is because we have morals (also looking at you, Michigan St. and Baylor). Also, we may have been too young to remember, but I am sure most of you still have horrible memories of the 72-0 loss to Ohio State... so let's not do that again. 

Georgia State Panthers

I know nothing about Georgia State so nothing against them. But...the logo.

We're not interested in the two fan bases jabbing back and forth over the logo and mascot - especially over a probable week 1 match-up. 

Penn State Nittany Lions

First off, sorry to terrify you with the picture of that awful looking Nittany Lion.... Pitt fans, you had to have known this was coming. The 100th meeting of Pitt and PSU takes place this season and it will be their last match up in the near distant future, and we are ok with that. We need at least a ten year break from this match up as its lust has worn out due to the lack of mutual respect between the fan bases and schools. To be short, this rivalry is not fun. It may have been fun back in the day before we were around, but the past three seasons were only fun in certain ways. Nevertheless.... 42-39 forever!
