The recent Netflix original stars the comedic duo of, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston; Their on-screen chemistry is what really drives this film forward. And I genuinely enjoyed the movie despite other negative online reviews. Sure it wasn't a gut busting comedy, but it still made me laugh! Which a comedy is supposed to do! And even though it didn't give enough laughs for a gold star rating, it still earned solid bronze...
And if you're bored and need something to watch, I still recommend Murder Mystery! I watched it with my dad, who was slightly intoxicated, and he thought it was hilarious! So what do I know? Now, if you read past this point, you may want to murder me yourself (hopefully not). Because SPOILERS are ahead!
Sandler and Aniston play an average married couple, Nick and Audrey Spitz (unfortunate last name- sorry if your last name is Spitz), who get tangled up in a murder while on their delayed honeymoon. Their characters' interactions were my favorite part about the movie. Some of my favorite scenes were: Nick not joining the mile high club, crashing the private yacht celebration, and Audrey going Tokyo Drift at the end. Boy do I miss that show... but back to the reaction. The story wasn't anything new or bold, but it still held up. The entire time I was trying to predict the killer/killers, but I ultimately failed, and proved to myself that I'll never be Sherlock Holmes (insert cry emoji). There were constantly twists and turns that kept me guessing, although the murderer revealing her motive felt like...
Well, that's all I have to say about that! If you think you're a great detective, then I challenge you to predict the killer.
