Let's Brunch: First Watch Review

Brunch: It's not Breakfast, It's not Lunch, It's just Better.

Welcome to our first segment of, "Let's Brunch," where we will review all of the big brunch spots that we hit up after a long night out on the town. If you don't know me, all you need to know about me is that I am a brunch enthusiast and known by some friends as "Big Brunch Guy." With our brunch destination, we start with one of my favorites, First Watch.

Pittsburgh Locations: West Mifflin, Bridgeville, Settlers Ridge, McCandless, Murrysville, Cranberry

Environment/Vibe: If you're looking for a laid back environment with some awesome brunch, this is the place for you. When at First Watch, you will get an old country vibe without even having to play "Old Town Road."

Alcohol/Bottomless Mimosas?: Nope. If you are looking for a brunch to drink, this is not the place for you.

What I ate: Let me tell you, the Bacado that I ordered was one of the best brunch meals that I ever had. Just look at the picture below, doesn't it just look delicious?!? You have the choice between mixed greens and potatoes on the side along with some artisan toast that SMACKS. My fiancĂ©e and I may or may not be naming our future doggo "Pico" after how good that Pico de Gallo is on the side... (we also have a cat named Wasabi). I would HIGHLY recommend this meal.

Menu Options: If you are looking for a great tasting brunch while cutting some calories, First Watch is the place. They have a ton of healthier options ranging from the good old Avocado Toast (if you are a millennial) to protein filled breakfast power bowls. If you are not about that calorie counting life, they have some griddle options to die for such as the Carrot Cake pancake that I could not recommend more. Pancakes and carrot cake are amazing by themselves, combine the two and you have something truly revolutionary. Oh, and the coffee is great too.

Price: $$ (Average of $10 a meal).

Overall Rating: 9.5/10.

First Watch is a hidden gem brunch spot and you haven't lived until you've had brunch here. The only reason it did not get a 10/10 is because it can get busy at times because it is THAT GOOD.

Have brunch spots you think we should try? Let us know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
