The Renegade: JuJu Smith-Schuster, The Modern Day Role Model

If you can't tell by the title of the article, we love JuJu. We're a little bias of course, but how can you not like this guy? I get if he torches your team for 200 yards and 2 TD's, it's easy to get pissed at him, but in his defense, he's going to do that to a number of teams in 2019 and we employ you to look into what makes JuJu, JuJu. At only 22 years old, the Steelers receiver quickly ascended to stardom and made one of the most dominant players in the league expendable, but we're not here to talk football. Smith-Schuster has already made his name across a number of different areas:
  • Hopefully, with other distractions gone, Tomlin allows touchdown celebrations to come back because JuJu became famous for his. His renditions of Dragonball Z and Naruto were everything 11 year old me has ever wanted. JuJu, lets get a father-son kamehameha with Ben this season!!
  • Lets not forget the most dramatic non-French biking event since Lance Armstrong's doping scandal - JuJu's bike was stolen. Local and national news outlets were in an absolute frenzy over who could commit such a heinous crime. Luckily the bike was recovered and America could breathe again knowing there is a God. This was a seminal moment in the receiver's life as teammates came together to help him receive his license, but we know no car will ever replace Batman's two-wheeled Robin.
  • His personal YouTube channel has 755,000+ subscribers and is getting ready to eclipse 35 million views here real soon. He regularly puts fun videos chronicling the adventures of the NFL's Most Interesting man.
  • Alongside YouTube, his Twitch account has nearly 78,000 followers. Where he famously streams Fortnite as part of the eSports franchise FaZe Clan.
  • In addition, per June 2018, he signed an endorsement deal with eSports hardware producer HyperX. He is a a huge ambassador for eSports saying, "I think eSports are becoming a bigger game just because it's workldwide...You have a lot of these teams where people are involved from different countries."
  • Since being drafted, #19 has always been one for philanthropy, contributing to multiple outlets and events. Most recently, he started the "JuJu Foundation" dedicated to supporting children in need. On top of his foundation, just two weeks ago he hosted his first annual Water Balloon fight simply because he wanted to have some fun and had the money to spend. That just doesn't happen nowadays.
  • Saving the most important for last - Boujee. This little grey French bulldog isn't only a cute af little floofer, he has the most swag of any dog in Pittsburgh and his name is BOUJEE! That's the equivalent of a Kardashian naming her kid Kardashian. For research purposes, I went onto Boujee's Instagram page and even though the pup has 186,000+ more followers, richer than any of us, and has a girlfriend over me, I'm happier than I've been all damn week. Hey JuJu, if you by chance read this check your DM's, I'll happily dog sit Boujee some time.
Anyway, having very briefly met JuJu in 2017 when he and James Conner came up to the Panther Pitt during the Thursday night game, plus following him since he was drafted, the most important thing about him is he's an all around great dude. A perfect role model in today's society for children; as someone goes out of his way to make children's lives better and does a great job connecting to them. This is the type of athlete you want your kids looking up to. Thank you, JuJu.
